A sodium alginate solution
Sodium alginate is extracted from the cell walls of seaweed. It helps the stomach block rising acid, the root cause of the discomfort heartburn and indigestion sufferers know so well.

Gaviscon Advance is the product we recommend pregnant mothers to take. It’s lower in sodium and is designed to act locally, making it a safe product to take.
Never exceed the dosage information on the back of the product. You can take up to 4 tablets a day or 10ml of liquid. Try to take these after meals. If you have been using Gaviscon for more than 7 days, you should consult your doctor.
