Is your infant suffering from reflux? You’re not alone.

Babies suffer from reflux when the ring of muscle between their oesophagus (food pipe) and their stomach is not fully developed. Food and milk can easily leak out and travel back up the food pipe because of this.
Infant reflux is rarely serious and most likely becomes less common as the baby gets older. If your infant is suffering from reflux and is 18 months or older, it may be worth consulting a doctor.
Your infant may show signs of reflux, but may not bring up milk or be sick. This is known as Silent Reflux.
Reflux during infancy is very common, and the good news is that there are effective treatments for it.
Gaviscon Infant sachets are designed to prevent reflux and regurgitation by stabilising the stomach.
Each sachet contains approximately 23.9mg of sodium, so if your infant has been placed on a low sodium (salt) diet, you should consult your doctor before you administer the product.
For infants aged 1 to 2 years. Not to be used in premature infants or infants under one year except under medical supervision. Always use Gaviscon Infant exactly as described in patient information leaflet. If you have any further questions on the use of this product ask your doctor or pharmacist. Always read the label before taking this medicine.
Do not use Gaviscon Infant with other thickening agents, or with infant milk preparations containing a thickening agent.
